He passed away peacefully on April 11, 2026, in Winnipeg. Born in Carman, MB, Lorne was a graduate in engineering from the University of Saskatchewan and spent his career in Quebec’s pulp and paper industry. An active golfer, he was particularly proud of scoring his age - 82 at 82. He was also an enthusiastic competitive curler and took pride in his many awards.
Predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Mariette; children, Richard and Julie; and brothers, Rene and Marcel. He is survived by his two sisters-in-law, Louise, Denise; his children, Joanne, Robert, Louise; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and friends.
The family profoundly thanks Mark, Michelle, and Roger for their dedicated care during his retirement.
A funeral service will take place May 2, 2026, 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Church, Winnipeg.
